About Purpose Drivers 

My name is Quinten, and my goal is to meet Purpose Drivers from all over the world.

After 8 years of studying and two years of working my dream was to travel. And as this moment came closer and closer I started to doubt it. What do I contribute if I travel and what do I really gain from it other than, beaches, tourist attractions, parties, etc? This feeling stayed in my head and I started to think about how can I add some purpose to my travel plans.

So, I started to think about what do I feel are the most important things. I love nothing more than connecting with new people, I lived in Malta, South Africa, and Sweden for my studies, and the best moments I experienced were when I met strangers from different backgrounds and cultures. 

Why Sustainability?

Sustainability is also very important to me. My interest, passion, and motivation on this topic grew during my Master's in Sweden called ''Leadership For Sustainability''. Here I was surrounded by fifty motivated International people who all wanted change, this felt amazing. After my master's, I started working in sustainability at an international high-tech company with 600 people in the Netherlands. Here I implemented sustainability business practices in all departments of the company. Here I felt I really contributed something.

During my travel, I did not want to let go of my passion, interest, and contributions to sustainability, also I realized I missed the feeling during my study in Sweden where I was surrounded by fifty international people who all had the drive to do better for the world. and make change happen. 

When I started to think of how can I add my passion for sustainability, connecting with strangers and, meet motivated people like during my study in Sweden to my travel plans, Purpose Drivers was created!

What is Purpose Drivers?

Everywhere in the world, there are unique stories of people who are purpose drivers in what they do. It does not matter how big or how small, or if the focus is on environmental or social topics. We all have one thing in common we drive for a purpose and for a better and more enjoyable world. I want to meet these people who choose to contribute to a better future. My goal is to document all these stories. To learn, make friends, connect, spread the message, bring people together, and mostly understand what it takes to be a Purpose Driver.
